Fitzroy Lee Releases Inspiring New Roots Reggae Single “There Is A Land”

Fitzroy Lee first emerged on Jamaica’s reggae scene during the mid-1990s, establishing himself as a regular MC on the renowned Ghetto Rock Soundsystem in West Negril. His talent quickly caught the attention of acclaimed reggae artist Lisa Dainjah, leading to the recording of his debut EP, Ratoon, at Bust Out Studio in Kingston, Jamaica.

After relocating to Australia in 2007, Fitzroy continued sharing the message of reggae through his popular Reggae Mixtape radio program broadcast from Australia’s Mid-North Coast while touring extensively with his original reggae band, Drama King. Over the years, he has released two acclaimed solo albums and become a crowd favorite at festivals throughout Australia.

Known for his passionate delivery, conscious songwriting, and versatile storytelling, Fitzroy Lee has built a reputation for creating music that both entertains and inspires.

His upcoming third album, Cracking Corn, continues that tradition. Released through Astro Melody Records, the project stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring legacy of Black reggae music. Through songs centered on equality, justice, hope, and cultural identity, the album celebrates reggae’s rich heritage while looking confidently toward the future.

As the album’s lead single, “There Is A Land” offers listeners an inspiring first taste of what’s to come and serves as a reminder that reggae music remains a powerful voice for truth, love, and unity.
